Engage in Community Environmental Education
Communities across the State of Minnesota engage citizens in environmental education to encourage environmental stewardship. As a member of your community, participating in educational activities and sharing what your company is doing for the environment can result in big public relations rewards. Additionally, it can give you the opportunity to share lessons learned and also to pick up some ideas from your neighbors. Consider getting involved in some of these activities:
- Very small quantity generator (VSQG) collection
- Tours of your facility for the community
- River clean-up projects: MnDNR Adopt a River Program
- School science fair judging: Promoting STEM in schools
- Invasive species removal
