Logan joined MnTAP in the summer of 2023 as an associate engineer. He specializes in waste management and reduction in the healthcare, sport, and food industries. Along with his BS in Sustainable Systems Management from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Logan is currently working on his MBA at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota to continue expanding his expertise in corporate sustainability. He started his career by providing environmental compliance consulting and assisting facilities on stormwater, wastewater, air, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), and waste permitting and reporting. He also has extensive experience communicating waste reduction and sustainability messages in digital and social media from working as a freelancer. Logan is excited to bring his knowledge and skill sets to MnTAP by leading The Healthcare Environmental Awareness & Resource Reduction Team (HEARRT), a Minnesota sustainability healthcare group providing technical assistance to a wide variety of industries across the state. On top of his role with MnTAP, he teaches two classes within the Sustainable Systems Management major at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

Logan’s interest in sustainability started at a young age as an avid fan of Steve Irwin: The Crocodile Hunter. While he isn’t wrestling crocodiles, he has carried forward Steve’s passion for protecting our planet with an undying love to learn and educate others and himself on the topic. When not at work, Logan is a competitive distance runner and enjoys spending time with his 4 cats.
