Communications Specialist
leung077@umn.edu | 908 – 399 – 9581
Jocelyn joined MnTAP in June of 2024 as the communications specialist. She works with other MnTAP staff to create content for print and online publications— including case studies, monthly Source Newsletters, IMPACT, and Solutions—that share success stories of businesses cutting water or energy use, reducing toxic pollutants, minimizing waste, and improving their efficiency. As a graduate of the Community Health Promotion MPH program at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, she values and practices communicating information effectively, accurately, and in ways that are accessible and respectful of all.
Prior to joining MnTAP, Jocelyn has written or co-written public-facing documents (e.g., Request for Proposals and governmental plans) on a variety of topics, including houselessness in Minnesota, Black wealth building, and social determinants of health related to the Blue Line Extension light rail. She was first introduced to environmental and water pollution issues while she was a participatory engagement coordinator at Freshwater Society, and she worked on One Watershed, One Plan efforts in the St. Louis River and Snake River watersheds.
When Jocelyn is not working, she enjoys trying new slow cooker recipes and spoiling Gordy, her 14-pound orange cat.
