Claire joined MnTAP in 2025 as an engineer. Her primary focus is on reducing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and helping businesses navigate this emerging area as Minnesota’s first-in-the-nation ban comes into effect.

Claire’s interest in pollution prevention, particularly on emerging contaminants, began when she researched the production and fate of microplastics in the natural aquatic environment while she studied  environmental engineering at the University of Minnesota.

Prior to MnTAP, Claire was an environmental engineer at WSP, where she participated in a variety of sampling and remediation activities all over Minnesota and mostly focused on PFAS and chlorinated solvents. Following her time at WSP, Claire worked at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture as a research scientist and was one of the primary authors of two legislative reports on the presence of PFAS in pesticide products.

Outside of work she enjoys getting out into nature with her dog all year round and exploring all of the fun and exciting bookstores and restaurants that the Twin Cities have to offer.
