HEARRT Midwest presents:
Change is a comin': Pharmaceutical waste management in Minnesota
The US Environmental Protection Agency published its final rules for the management of hazardous waste pharmaceuticals in February. The new rules establish management standards more applicable to healthcare facilities, clarify regulations for reverse distribution and exempt over-the-counter nicotine replacement therapies from hazardous waste management.
The new hazardous waste pharmaceutical rules are in addition to the relatively recent controlled substance disposal rules of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Please join us on June 25 to learn about Minnesota's adoption of the new rules with insights to DEA's disposal requirements.
