Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) Protects the public health and environment and provides its customers efficient and effective water resources management. Enforces rules and regulations for industrial waste-any solid, liquid, or gaseous substance-disposed of in a public sewer in the metropolitan area resulting from a business activity. 651/602-4703.

Minnesota Agri-Growth Council The Council promoties Minnesota agriculture with elected officials, the general public, media, and the farm community.

National Agricultural Compliance Assistance Center The National Agriculture Compliance Assistance Center is the "first stop" for information about environmental requirements that affect the agricultural community. The Ag Center was created by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with the support of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) Addresses problems of water pollution, and collection and disposal of sewage and solid waste. The WLSSD comprises approximately 500 square miles and includes the cities of Duluth, Cloquet, Hermantown, Proctor, Carlton, Scanlon, Thomson and Wrenshall, and the surrounding townships. 218/722-3336.
